A Feature on Community
Standing
beside those
who need it most.
A new Oakdale nonprofit turns hometown compassion into real help for first responders, law enforcement, and the families quietly carrying the heaviest days of their lives.
§ I The Mission
People helping
people when
it matters most.
When life falls apart quietly, most people never hear about it. A firefighter's wife is sitting in a waiting room two hours from home. A family is choosing between rent and a funeral. A child is wondering if college is still on the table.
Beyond The Frontline Foundation exists for those moments. We provide direct financial and emotional support to first responders, law enforcement personnel, and Oakdale families navigating serious illness, unexpected loss, or other hardships that don't fit neatly into forms and waitlists.
We are new, we are small, and we are serious about doing this well.

§ II Why We're Here
For twelve years, my mother fought multiple myeloma. My father was her caregiver. I watched what that kind of slow emergency does to a family. If we can lighten that load for someone else, even a little, we should.
That's the reason Greg Komsky co-founded Beyond The Frontline with CEO Rudy Marquez and Secretary Misty Komsky. It's a foundation built from personal experience and a belief that small towns still take care of their own. Greg moved to Oakdale in 2020, after nearly a decade of traveling here for work. He stayed for the people.
